It’s Swimwear Season Men, Are You Ready?
As much as men like to look at women in bathing suits, there are some women that can appreciate a good body on a man, or should I say physique. Now, I swear I’m not that kind of woman because I like all shapes, but today’s topic talks about summer, being in a swim suit and really it’s about staying fit for health.
I’ve defined my purpose on fatvsthin before, but I’ll take a minute and do it once more. My point is, just because you’re thin doesn’t mean you can prevent dis ease or be healthy, and some people who are clinically fat are healthy and it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re going to get a dis ease. So I want to always keep in mind it’s about your health, eating healthy, creating a healthy lifestyle, alternative thinking which is smart, and the supplements you can take to support your health. And anything else I want to talk about, since it’s my blog.
I’m living here in Santa Monica right next to the Hollywood world of thin, gorgeous and tan. Oh the pressure, but I’ve held my ground and done it all organic and natural, must be my San Francisco roots. So I want to share the best of the best information with you too. I’m not following a fad, I’ve been doing this work since 1981, that is studying alternative health, lifestyles and nutrition, my long term love you’d say.
So getting ready to put your swim trunks on? Speedo maybe, or maybe that’s just in Europe. No matter what, there are certain tips I can tell you today which can help you reduce the love handles, the extra tire, the stomach that keeps on growing, you know what I mean.
Cut the refined carbohydrates! They’re not healthy for you anyway, they can hold up to five pounds of water(bloat) and do havoc on blood sugar and energy. What am I talking about? Breads, pastas, crackers, chips, cakes, pies, cookies, muffins, and bagels, hmmmm, I think that may cover a lot of it.
Today’s Tuesday, sorry I missed Monday, my goal is to write M-F and the day slipped away. Refined carbohydrates may taste good, but I want you to develop new tastes, new behaviors and experience better health. What can you have instead? Well, this kind of goes back to my gluten free suggestion for maintaining health. I’m not a fan of gluten at all, it’s sticky, gummy, causes weight gain, allergies etc., etc..
What is better for you is to focus this week on buying, eating or ordering more grains. One of the transition tips I give is to eat 1/2 portion. Ok, you’ve ordered a hormone free hamburger with the bun. Only eat 1/2 the bun and toss the other 1/2. This is my suggestion today, the 1/2 rule. Until you get to the store and stock up on rice bread(which is your alternative to wheat, a glutenous grain) and corn tortillas.
Go back to my previous post talking about gluten(June 9th). I’ve had clients who cut the gluten and in 4 weeks they lost 6 pounds. This is done healthfully and has lasted for years.
Gotta run, be well and get fit!! Talk to you tomorrow……..
