Happy Father’s Day! Relax, and Make a Commitment to Your Health
Here’s to all the father’s who’ve raised us, to the ones raising children and to the father’s to come. I dedicated June to you guys because I felt it’s time to raise your consciousness regarding your health and how to take care of it through nutrition and lifestyle. Please review previous posts as I’ve talked about joint health, cholesterol, prostate health, brain etc., to try and give tips on how to eat healthy and why.
Sunday is a chance to start a new habit. I always think of birthdays and special holidays like this as chances to start a new year. Mentally, I want you to pick one thing you can do for yourself to start eating better, eliminating junk food or start an exercise plan. These are things I’ve talked about in previous posts and today I want to remind you to relaaax……..
I’m going to tell you a secret. Stress reduction, relaxation, doing nothing is good for your health. I know this can apply to women too, but men, you too must learn how to pamper yourself. Did I say metrosexual? No, I just said it’s just as good for you to get a massage, manicure, pedicure, whatever do nothing experience that is good for your health.
I work in a spa as a nutritionist and the majority I see are women coming in for pampering. Yes, we want to look good for ourselves, you, whatever, but we also know how good it feels to let someone else take care of us.
I hope I’m getting my message across to you. I’m keeping it short because I want to go pamper myself with a sauna to cleanse and detoxify. Maybe I’ll post more about a good cleanse and detox program tomorrow. I know that will come after Father’s Day, but until tomorrow…….relaaaaaaax
