Fat Vs Thin

A quick post today to talk a bit about a quality you must cultivate in bringing something new and healthy into your life. Recently I had a new yoga client for the first time and I wasn’t sure if she’d be continuing. She wants to bring something healthy into her life but sometimes timing is the name of the game. The same happened a few weeks back, a new client wanted to start yoga because his doctor suggested it but in the past he was never interested. In both cases, I just wasn’t sure if I’d be seeing these clients again.

I find it fascinating when working with new clients the ones that come back and the ones who move on. Granted, maybe they feel another practitioner would be better for them, but still there’s something so interesting to me when someone comes to me and they have that quality of ……….determination. If there was one word I pick up when I work with clients who really are ready to make a change, it’s determination.

I have nutrition clients like this too. No matter if there wasn’t weight loss one week and they were super disciplined, they might say how frustrated they are, but you know what? They don’t veer one bit and they stay……. determined.

Yes, this is a bit off the subject of immunity, but it’s Friday and I’m about to go teach yoga to the client I mentioned in my first paragraph. She’s determined to include yoga and keep it in her life. And next week I’ll see my other client who’s doctor recommended he start yoga. I didn’t mention to him, but knowing for years he never wanted to do yoga, started with me, and is going to continue…..the man has determination.  And I am determined to bring them health through their practice.

What I want you to do today is get determined about changing your health in some form. Decide to eat better, exercise, get some fresh air, and do something you love and then your immune system will be stronger. No veering.
